Exciting refurbishment & collaboration for popular Worcester bar

The popular Conservatory Bar, located at 34 Friar Street, has closed its doors for a full rebrand and major refurbishment.

Bristol-based interior design company Simple Simon began work on the Conservatory’s new look on Monday 20th June; first preparing the space for a new layout and revealing the contemporary new logo has also been revealed on social media. The refurbishment is expected to take 3-4 weeks and the finished makeover will include open brickwork, abstract tiles, and wood cladding, accessorised with brightly coloured bric-a-brac.

Due to reopen in mid-July; The Conservatory is bringing much more to Worcester than a new image as a collaboration with local burger hero Carl Sampson has also been announced! Carl Sampson is the man behind what The Times dubbed Britain’s Best Burger Van and he is now set to take the helm in the Conservatory kitchen!

Local man Carl took part in reality TV series ‘Best Chef, Worst Chef’ in 2015 which paired him with celebrity chef Daniel Clifford. This gave Sampson the opportunity to work in the double Michelin-starred Midsummer House in Cambridge where he turned down an apprenticeship opportunity to return home to his Worcester-based family and gourmet burger van. Two years on Sampson’s have big plans for the new food offering in The Conservatory.

The Conservatory is due to reopen on Friday 14th July. To be in the chance of an invite to the relaunch party and/or preview nights, follow The Conservatory on social media and sign up to their mailing list at www.conservatory-worcester.co.uk
